About
In 1937, a 15 year old Macedonian boy named Kosta disembarked from the USS Aquitania, and began a new life in the USA with his family. Five years later, he started a restaurant with his father, because that’s what his family had always done.
That little restaurant and tavern, The Thurman Café in Columbus, Ohio, was eventually passed on to his children, as it became a local legend. Kosta’s love of serving amazing food, great beer, and sharing good times with his customers was also passed on to his grandchildren, one of whom was inspired to bring Son of Thurman to the great little city of Delaware and now the Galena Square!
